Samenvatting
Philippe Van Snick passed away in 2019. Yet his work continues to live on and is still regularly presented in exhibitions and museum collections. Research into his oeuvre also continues, and this publication is a reflection of that ongoing engagement.
The point of departure for this book is the solo exhibition held at S.M.A.K. in Ghent from 22 October 2022 to 5 March 2023, which is revisited here through installation views. Since then, a considerable amount of new information about Van Snick’s work has come to light. A comprehensive survey of his oeuvre, together with in-depth research, forms the backbone of this monograph.
The publication picks up where the first volume, Dynamic Project (2010), left off. Together, Dynamic Project and Dynamic Project II form a diptych devoted to an artist whose work continues to fascinate and generate renewed interest. The book also includes substantial essays by Anthony Hudek, a letter by Philippe Van Cauteren, and much more.
