Beneath the crowded, chaotic streets of Brooklyn’s Red Hook district lies a sprawling labyrinth of historical squalor and terrifying secrets. His investigation leads him directly to Robert Suydam, a wealthy, reclusive scholar from an old Dutch family who has suddenly abandoned high society to immerse himself in the dangerous underworld of the waterfront slums.

As Malone digs deeper into Suydam’s shadowy operations, he uncovers a reality far more horrific than ordinary urban crime. The old mansion houses and damp basements of the neighborhood are being weaponized as secret temples for a global, prehistoric cult dedicated to the primordial entities of darkness. Through blood rituals, forbidden incantations, and cosmic alchemy, the conspirators are preparing to tear open a gateway to a subterranean world of absolute madness, threatening to drag the entire metropolis into an abyss of ancient evil.
